Your go-to layer for cooler miles

Detour is a men's long sleeve cycling jersey made for the bit of the year when the weather becomes impossible to dress for.

Its mid-weight 160gsm technical fabric is lightweight and breathable, with a soft fleecy inner that takes the edge off chilly autumn mornings without leaving you overheating once you've warmed up.

Wear it as your outer layer on cool, dry rides, throw a gilet over it when the wind picks up, or use it underneath a winter jacket when things get properly cold.

The fit is designed with bigger and taller men in mind too, with a longer body and additional room around the belly compared with a typical race-fit cycling jersey.

Why you'll love it

  • Mid-weight 160gsm technical cycling fabric
  • Soft brushed inner for comfortable warmth
  • Breathable and moisture-wicking
  • Longer body length for taller riders and better coverage
  • Additional room around the belly
  • Comfortable fit for bigger and broader builds
  • Antibacterial fabric to help keep you fresher
  • Elasticated sleeve cuffs
  • Silicone hem to help keep the jersey in position
  • Three generous rear pockets
  • Secure zipped pocket for keys and valuables
  • Reflective rear detailing for low-light visibility
  • Full-length front zip
  • Available across our extended men's sizing

Who is Detour best for?

Detour is for riders who want a proper cycling jersey but don't want to be squeezed into a traditional race fit.

It's particularly useful if you're tall, broad, carry more weight around your stomach or simply prefer a little more breathing room in your cycling kit.

The longer body helps provide coverage when you're leaning forward on the bike, while the extra room through the middle means you shouldn't need to choose between comfort and wearing technical cycling clothing.

Fit & sizing

Start with your chest and belly measurements, taken at their widest points.

If your belly is larger than your chest, use the belly measurement as your main sizing guide.

Cycling jerseys should sit reasonably close to the body so the technical fabric can work properly, but close-fitting doesn't need to mean uncomfortable. You shouldn't feel squeezed around your middle or find the fabric straining when you're in your normal riding position.

Your height matters too, particularly if you're a taller rider.

If you're between sizes or just aren't sure, send us your height, chest and belly measurements and we'll help you find the best fit.

When should I wear it?

Detour works brilliantly through autumn and spring, on cooler summer days, and as a mid-layer during winter.

On a cool dry day, wear it by itself. Add a gilet for extra wind protection, or put a winter cycling jacket over the top when it gets colder.

It's a warm, breathable mid-weight jersey rather than a waterproof or windproof outer layer, which makes it particularly useful for layering as conditions change.

Before you order, grab a tape measure and get your key stats

Accuracy now = better fit later

  • 2. Pick your key measurement

    • Men: If your belly is bigger than your chest, use your belly measurement
