Worldwide Shipping & Delivery
Delivery, Customs & Import Charges
Powered by Royal Mail
We ship all orders exclusively with Royal Mail, because they have the lowest carbon emissions of any major UK delivery service. That means your order gets to you without the planet having to pay the price. Whether you’re ordering a single jersey or a full new kit, it’s all going via the greenest route possible.
For international orders, Royal Mail gets your parcel on its way from the UK, then your local postal service takes over for final delivery. That could be USPS in the USA, Canada Post in Canada, La Poste in France, and so on.
Using one delivery partner keeps things simple. No courier roulette at checkout, just reliable tracked delivery and one clear process.
UK Orders
In-stock UK orders are usually dispatched within 1–2 working days.
Royal Mail delivery normally takes around 2–4 working days from dispatch. You will receive a dispatch email with your tracking details once your order is on the move.
Pre-order items will have their expected dispatch timeframe shown on the relevant product page.
International Orders
Yes, we ship worldwide.
Estimated delivery times from dispatch are:
Europe: 5–10 working days
USA & Canada: 7–14 working days
Rest of the world: 10–20 working days
These are delivery estimates rather than guarantees. Customs checks, local postal delays and public holidays can occasionally add extra time.
Tracking details are included in your dispatch email. Please check your junk folder first if you cannot see it, then get in touch and I will happily resend the details.
Customs, Duties & Import Taxes
The important bit: customs charges are set by the destination country, not by CWC. Depending on where you live, charges may include import VAT or sales tax, customs duty and a clearance or handling fee from the local postal service.
These charges are separate from the price of your order and, unless clearly shown at checkout, are payable by the customer when the parcel enters the destination country.
At a glance
UK
No import duties or taxes to pay.
USA
Import charges are calculated and paid at checkout.
European Union
Orders sent from Great Britain to the EU are imports, so local import VAT and customs-related charges may apply.
For most EU countries, import charges are not currently collected by CWC at checkout. Your local postal service or customs authority will contact you if there is anything to pay before delivery.
The exception is Germany, Denmark and Luxembourg, where Royal Mail currently requires import charges to be paid upfront before the parcel is sent. Customers in these countries may see an estimated customs/import charge added at checkout or included in the shipping cost.
All other international destinations
Any import charges are normally payable by the customer to the local postal service before delivery.
USA Orders
All applicable US import duties, taxes and customs processing charges are calculated at checkout. Your order is sent with these charges paid in advance, so you should not normally need to pay anything else when it arrives.
US import rules changed in 2025 and the previous duty-free allowance for low-value commercial orders no longer applies. Charges can vary depending on the product and its country of origin, which is why they are calculated for your order at checkout.
European Union Orders
Orders sent from Great Britain to the EU are imports, so local import VAT and customs-related charges may apply.
From 1 July 2026, the EU introduced a temporary €3 customs duty for low-value online orders worth up to €150.
This is not one flat €3 charge for the whole parcel. It is generally charged per customs category or customs line in the parcel. For example, two jerseys would normally count as one category, while a jersey and bib shorts may count as two different categories.
Your local postal service may collect:
-
the €3 customs duty per applicable product category
-
local import VAT
-
any customs clearance or handling fee charged in your country
For orders worth over €150, the temporary €3 low-value parcel charge does not apply in the same way. Instead, normal import VAT, customs duty and any local clearance fees may apply, depending on the country and the goods ordered.
For most EU countries, these charges are outside CWC’s control and are payable by the customer when the parcel enters the destination country.
Germany, Denmark and Luxembourg
Germany, Denmark and Luxembourg are currently being treated differently by Royal Mail.
For these countries, Royal Mail does not currently offer the option for the customer to pay customs charges locally on delivery. This means import charges need to be paid upfront before your parcel can be sent.
Because of this, customers in Germany, Denmark and Luxembourg may see an estimated import/customs charge added at checkout or included in the shipping cost.
This estimated charge may include:
-
local import VAT
-
the EU customs duty
-
Royal Mail or local courier handling fees
-
any country-specific customs admin charges
These charges are estimated at checkout because the final amount is calculated by our courier service and the destination customs authority.
Once the final charge has been accurately calculated by Royal Mail or the local delivery service, we will check it against the amount you paid at checkout.
If you have paid more than the final amount charged to us, we will refund the difference back to your original payment method.
If you are ordering from Germany, Denmark or Luxembourg and are unsure what applies to your order, please get in touch before placing your order and we will happily help.
European Countries Outside the EU
Countries such as Norway and Switzerland have their own import rules. Local VAT, customs duty and postal handling fees may apply and are normally payable by the customer before delivery.
Rest of the World
Import rules vary widely between countries. Your destination country may charge import tax, customs duty and a clearance fee before releasing your parcel.
Please check your local customs rules before ordering if you are unsure what charges may apply.
Paying Customs Charges
If there is a charge to pay, the local postal service or customs authority may contact you by email, text message, phone or delivery card. Please make sure your contact details are correct at checkout and keep an eye on your tracking updates.
For safety, use the official tracking link in your dispatch email or visit your local postal service’s website directly before making any payment.
If customs charges are not paid, your parcel may be delayed, returned to us or, in some countries, abandoned by the local carrier. If a parcel is returned due to unpaid import charges, any return and re-delivery postage costs will need to be paid before it can be sent again.
Customs charges are paid to the destination country and local delivery service, not to CWC.
If you have any questions before ordering, please email hello@cyclewearcentral.com and we’ll do our best to help.
