How should cycling clothing fit?

Cycling clothing should feel close enough to stay comfortable and perform well on the bike, but it shouldn’t dig in, restrict your movement or make you feel squeezed. At Cycle Wear Central, we focus on comfortable, practical fits for a wider range of body shapes rather than an ultra-tight race fit.

How do I choose the right size?

We recommend using your actual body measurements rather than relying on the size you usually buy in everyday clothing. Cycling fabrics are stretchy and different body shapes can fit the same size differently, so check our Size Guide and How to Measure guide before ordering. If you’re unsure, send us your measurements and we’ll be happy to help.

Is Cycle Wear Central suitable for bigger, taller and curvier riders?

Yes. Our kit is designed specifically with real body shapes in mind, including bigger waists and bellies, broader builds, taller riders, curves, larger busts, hips and thighs. Selected men’s styles are available up to 8XL and selected women’s styles up to UK 28.

What if my measurements fall between two sizes?

It depends on the garment and how you like your cycling clothing to fit. Some riders prefer a closer fit while others want a little more room. Because our garments use stretchy technical fabrics, height and body shape can also affect the best size. Check the individual product information or contact us with your measurements and we can recommend the best option.

Can I exchange something if the fit isn't right?

Yes. We offer free exchanges, so if your first size isn’t quite right you can swap it for a better fit. We know buying cycling clothing online can be tricky, particularly if standard cycling brands haven’t fitted you well in the past, so we’re always happy to help with sizing before or after you order.
