Gear Guide

Our guide is here to help you navigate the minefield of information and get the right kit for your needs.

We know a lot about cycle wear and fitting people of all shapes and sizes. Whatever your body shape, whether you're plus size, big and tall, average or petite, we can help. If you need help finding your size take a look at our 'How To Measure' page and our 'Size Guides'

How to try on your gear

Get in riding position! Cycling clothes aren’t designed for standing around in front of a mirror, they’re cut anatomically and made to move with you on the bike. So mimic being on your bike. What feels “tight” or “weird” standing up might be perfect once you’re riding.

Try it on with the full kit. Bibs in particular will give you that nice supportive squeeze and let you see how your jersey sits when everything’s in place.

Specially designed for big and tall lads and those with a bit more around the middle, our premium, technical cycle wear is all together more generously cut for a perfect fit.

Men

Jerseys

Designed for real blokes with real bods, this jersey gives extra space where you need it around the tummy and across the shoulders. It’s flattering, comfy, and made to move with you, not against you.

Key features:

  • Lightweight, breathable, and sweat-wicking fabric
  • Cut for comfort: roomy where it counts, without sacrificing shape
  • Silicone hem that stays put
  • 3 classic rear pockets + a zipped one for the important stuff
  • Folded fabric cuffs

When to wear:
Perfect for any ride, any season. Layer up with a base layer for cooler seasons or wear on it's own during the warmer ones.

Fit tips:
Measure both your chest and belly at their widest, then check against our size chart. If your belly measurement is larger than your chest, then use that measurement. The fit should gently skim your shape. Not sure? Give us a shout and we’ll help you nail the size.

Long Sleeve Jerseys

This mid-weight is the wardrobe workhorse you’ll reach for when the weather can’t make up its mind. With just the right amount of warmth and stretch, it layers like a dream and keeps you comfy from spring chills to autumn breezes (and even sneaky winter rides if you layer up smart).

Key features of the garment:

  • Soft thermal fleece fabric for cosy comfort
  • Breathable, lets heat out, keeps comfort in
  • Not windproof or waterproof (perfect for dry, cool rides)
  • Silicone hem to stop it riding up mid-ride
  • 3 rear pockets + a zipped one for snacks, keys
  • Reflective details for low-light visibility
  • Elasticated cuffs for a snug, no-flap fit

When to wear:
Ideal for temps between 5–15°C.
Reach for it in spring, autumn, cool summer days, or as a warm layer under a jacket in winter. Basically: when it’s not too cold and not too warm – just like Goldilocks’ jersey.

Fit tips:
Designed with a shorter front and longer back standard cycling cut so your lower back isn’t flashing the world. A snug fit helps with moisture-wicking. Try it on in riding position for the best sense of how it’ll feel on the bike.

Gilets

Your "just in case" layer – wind-resistant, water-resistant, and folds down small enough to disappear into a jersey pocket. It’s the lightweight hero you’ll forget you packed… until the wind picks up or the drizzle starts, and suddenly you're the smug dry one in the group.

Key features of the garment

  • Wind and water-resistant front to block the worst of it
  • Mesh back for breathability so you don’t overheat
  • Packs down small, fits in a jersey pocket
  • Ideal for layering over a jersey or base layer
  • Lightweight and super easy to whip on mid-ride

When to wear:
All year round. Perfect for windy days, unexpected showers, chilly descents, or even just that post-ride café stop where your core cools down faster than your coffee.

Fit tips:
It’s made to fit over a jersey or base layer, so no need to size up. Stick with your regular jersey size and you’re good to go.

Summer Jackets

This is the jacket that looks at wind and rain and says, “Not today.” With a 3-layer membrane to fend off the elements and breathable lycra sides to keep you comfy, it strikes the perfect balance between protection and flexibility.

Key features:

  • Lycra sides for breathability and freedom of movement
  • Lightweight and breathable for all-day comfort
  • Not fully waterproof – designed for changeable, not torrential
  • Streamlined fit with stretch in all the right places

When to wear:
Spring, Summer, Autumn

  • 11°C+ with a short sleeve jersey
  • Under 10°C? Add a thermal base layer
  • Under 6°C? You’ll want more layers underneath

Fit tips:
True to size snug fit. The lycra sides mean it hugs just right without squeezing the life out of you. Stick with your regular size unless you plan to layer up.

Winter Jackets

Designed to keep you cosy without turning you into a sweaty burrito, packed with smart features like front vents and a storm collar. If you’re riding in the cold, this is the mate you want on your back.

Key features:

  • Thermal fabric, warm but not bulky
  • Breathable and stretchy for comfort on the move
  • Storm collar to keep out sneaky chills
  • Front vents for easy temperature control mid-ride
  • Designed for cold conditions without overheating you

When to wear:
Your cold-weather companion from autumn through spring.

  • 9°C and below with light layering
  • 4–8°C with a thermal base layer
  • Under 3°C? Time to add the big guns – thermal base + jersey, plus a thermal cap and neck warmer

Fit tips:
Snug with just the right amount of stretch. It’s meant to sit close to trap warmth without adding bulk. Stick to your usual size unless you’re going full Eskimo with the layers.

Bib Shorts

Two Bib Shorts, One Goal: Happy Bums

01 – The All-Rounder
Comfy, easygoing, and made for any rider, the 01 Bib Shorts are your trusty go-to whether you're new to the saddle or clocking occasional miles. Shorter in the leg and packed with stretchy comfort.

Key features:

  • Stretch Lycra fabric for a comfy, flexible fit
  • Mesh bib for breathability
  • Silicone hem keeps legs in place
  • Shorter inside leg (approx. 25cm from centre pad to hem)
  • YBC high-density moulded pad – comfy for 6hr+ rides
  • Great for all riders, especially novices or those after more room

When to wear:
Great for everyday rides. Beginner-friendly but still good enough for longer days in the saddle.

02 – The Serious Contender
A premium bib for riders who like to get stuck in. With advanced compression fabrics, a longer leg, and an anatomical cut that hugs your body in riding position, the 02 is built for performance without sacrificing comfort.

Key features:

  • Technical compression fabric
  • Soft stretch braces + breathable mesh bib
  • Deep elastic hem for a secure fit
  • Longer inside leg (approx. 28cm from centre pad to hem)
  • Anatomical fit designed for riding position
  • High-density moulded pad for 6hr+ rides
  • Best suited for intermediate/advanced riders

When to wear:
Perfect for training, longer weekend rides. Anytime you want high performance and high comfort working together.

Fit tips: (for both 01 and 02 Bib Shorts)

  • Bib fit is a weird art. Your belly, bum, leg size and height all play a part.
  • Measure your belly at its widest point and start with our size guide. If in doubt, email us your measurements.
  • 01 bibs have a tiny bit more stretch than the 02, but it's only noticeable if you're between sizes.
  • Bibs should sit snug – no baggy bits at the crotch, thighs, or bum.
  • Always try them on in a cycling position to get a true sense of fit.
  • If you're between sizes, it’s usually best to go down – a well-fitted pad matters more than a little extra belly room.
  • Got a bigger belly? You may need to size down to get the pad snug. If the belly stitching feels tight or cracks, it’s fixable and won’t affect performance.
  • If you’re over 6’4” with long legs, consider sizing up. Over 6’6”? Maybe two sizes.
  • If you're under 5’10” with slim legs, you’ll likely need to size down.

Leg Length:

  • The 01 is shorter in the leg than the 02.

Items which use stretch fabrics don’t have an inside leg measurement because your torso, leg and bottom size will also affect the finished leg length

So, if your legs and bum are chunky, this 'shortens' the garment leg length, similarly if you have a skinny bum and legs, this 'lengthens' the leg length

Two people of the same size and height, one with skinny legs and one with chunky legs will get different inseam measurements from the same item

This is why the inseam measurement can not be relied upon as an indicator for the final length, nevertheless here it is, because lots of you ask for it!

*Approx measurement from centre pad to hem

Best for cold-weather, long winter rides, or when you want pro-level comfort and style while dodging puddles and frost.

Fit tips (for both 01 and 02 Bib Tights)

  • Fit depends belly & height
  • The pad needs to be snug against the body. If it’s floating, go down a size.
  • Flappy legs? Too big. Go down.
  • See-through tights in the saddle? Too small. Go up.
  • Torso feeling strangled? Too tight. Go up.
  • Try them on in a cycling position to get the real feel

Tall riders:

  • Designed around a 6’+ (183cm) frame
  • Over 6’4” (193cm)? You may need to size up once or even twice
  • Big legs = shorter inseam (thanks, physics). Need help? Email us your deets!

Short riders:

  • Don’t worry – these usually fit shorter folks too
  • Under 5’10” (178cm) with slim legs? Probably size down
  • 01 Bib Tights are slightly less compressive than the 02s, so may feel more forgiving

Inseam reference

  • 01 & 02 Bib Tights: Approx. 75cm (from centre pad to hem)
(but remember, your leg shape and size will affect final fit more than a tape measure)
