"Could we have something like this, but designed just for us?"

Sometimes the best ideas don't start with a logo.
They start with a story.
The first idea...
Like many customers, Graham already had a vision.
The original concept was to print photographs of the two Royal Oak pubs directly onto the jersey.
It would've worked.
But I thought we could make it even better.
Turning a photo into something timeless.
Instead of printing photographs directly onto technical cycling fabric, I suggested illustrating the pubs instead.
The finished design still captured everything that made the pubs special, but with much more personality.
Illustrations also age beautifully and reproduce far better on cycling clothing than detailed photographs.
Orange wasn't my choice.
It was theirs.
The whole group voted on orange because it stood out on the road and perfectly matched the fun nature of the project.
Sometimes great design really is that simple.
Small details matter.
We spent time refining the wording until it felt just right.
The club logo was also recreated as a vector, ensuring every detail printed crisply on the finished jerseys.
Those little changes might seem small, but they're often what transforms a good design into a great one.
The best part?
Seeing everyone wearing them.
Within days of delivery, the group were out riding together in their new jerseys.
Before long, my inbox filled with photos.
Apparently they became a bit of a talking point...
...not just with other cyclists, but with people in the pubs too.
